Students get a chance to become familiar with work going on there, to ask questions, to meet teachers - these are better represented by a playful, colourful appearance. I wished to represent characteristic, poster-like, strong visual imagery in the identity of Open Day, and in the publications related. The mark of the typo represent reception, hence the thoughtfulness (and the date - November 26, 2014) of the event is hidden in it.
