Our assignment was to create some posters that would be used at events and in liquor stores around Tampa Bay to bring to light a truly special beer called Rising Hope IPA. This beer was exclusively created, named and designed for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF), through a unique collaboration between them, Cigar City Brewing and Brew Bus Brewing. It was a limited-edition brew that would be sold during September in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and all proceeds would benefit children battling cancer.

We named the beer Rising Hope and wanted to show how this beer could take hope to all new heights, especially for those kids who were battling cancer. We prominently featured the actual beer can on the posters. It was designed to replicate the NPCF’s sun logo and contained facts about pediatric cancer that emanated out like rays. We used thought-provoking headlines to catch people’s attention and emphasize how all proceeds would benefit children with cancer.

These posters were very well-received and helped raise lots of brews, hope and money. The Rising Hope IPA program resulted in nearly $27,000 being raised in a single month and donated to pediatric cancer research. Best of all, because of this success, the NPCF is extending this program to breweries on a national level, so they can brew up even more hope and funding.
