Assignment:
At a time when tobacco and cigarette smoking are vilified, cigar enthusiasts have carved out a comfortable niche for themselves in humidors and cigar bars like The Hill Cigar Co. The assignment was to capture the inviting, relaxed nature of this local refuge for cigar aficionados.
Approach:
By evoking the romance of vintage advertising posters, we reflect the bar’s strong ties to the historic Italian community and showcase the allure and authenticity of enjoying a cigar in one of St. Louis’ most famous and storied neighborhoods.
Results:
While it’s still too early to know any official results, the work was well received by both the bar owner and his uber passionate clientele. Early signs point to an increase in both visits and purchases.
