To design a poetry collection of the author Bernarda Vrečko.
Approach
Kot Severno morje (eng. Like The North Sea) is Bernarda Vrečko's poetry collection. The sea is the cohesive thread that connects the collection into a whole. The short poems that mark chapters are moved lower and lower, as the reader and the author are through the collection moving deeper and deeper into the sea of poems. Poems are diversed and all written in Slovene. The diversity is shown in the layout solutions.
Results
Poetry collection is thoughtfully designed. Poems are very diverse, which is shown in layout that emphasizes the meaning of poems. The cover a bit abstractly represents sea - deep and shallow, turbulent and calm. The blue-grey colour represents the North sea.
