Tapped my primate animal resources to determine which primate had the ability to groove.
Discussed the actions that would lead to capturing the right moves I was looking for.
Once on set, I determined the action/s quickly that I would want to continue to shoot from first set of movements. It is important to quickly decide from first test to direct trainers what works best so that the baboon's energy is only used on actions that work.
Using the fast Canon EOS-1D X worked best for maximum captures for the rapid activity.
I then shot the iPod selecting the red color to accentuate product. I studied the motion the iPod wire would create by shooting a person jumping on the trampoline, mimicking the baboon as best we could. I then used those images to create the rough layout for compositing iPod with baboon. Veronica, skillfully composited the image using my rough composite.
