Rebranding a Toronto restaurant formerly known as Trinity Taverna, the assignment was to create a new brand that leveraged the waterfront location and embodied the warm, bright and vibrant characteristics of the Greek islands. Our challenge was to fuse both modern and culturally relevant design references to create a brand that would resonate with people looking for a unique dining experience, one that truly feels like an escape to Greece.
Echoing the decor and ambience of this upscale Greek restaurant and visually representing the meaning of the name (“by the sea”), the associated branding and collateral helps to create the feeling of being transported to a vibrant seaside village. Black-and-white illustrations against bright watercolour backgrounds are playfully elegant representations of Paralía’s menu items and lively personality.
Successfully recreating the experience of a vibrant seaside resort and authentic Greek island atmosphere through the interior design, printed materials and new name, Paralía has is now considered the premier destination for upscale Greek cuisine in the city and one of the most beautiful restaurants in Toronto.
