The School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin asked Dyal and Partners to design a poster for an event celebrating the 40th teaching anniversary of four professors within the school.

All four professors were described as "rockstars" in their discipline, and at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture. So, we designed the event poster to resemble a gig poster from 1975—the year they all started teaching. To make the poster closer to form, we created a fake band identity, "The Larry's and the Michael's," using the incidental pairing of their names: Larry Doll, Larry Speck, Michael Benedikt, and Michael Garrison. The 24" x 26" poster was silkscreened in 4 colors by Industry Printshop on 80# Madero Beach Speckletone by French Paper.

The poster quickly became the identity for the whole event, and was translated in to a stage backdrop, insignia at the bottom of photo booth photos, and even lenticular buttons. The event was hugely successful and memorable.
