Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Rebranding Concept
The goal of this assignment was to rebrand the inconsistent and unremarkable branding of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The overall deliverables were a new logo and mock-ups showcasing a clear and effective branding system for the whole event.
Being one of the largest hot air balloon festivals in the world the event needed a refresh that presented the same level of fun, vibrancy, and airiness that the festival itself showcased. To do this I developed the concept of the wordmark becoming representational of the balloons, making the name synonymous with the event itself. Then featuring the brilliant and powerful colors of the hot air balloons and a flexible grid system the branding carries that fun throughout everything.
The result is a brand that features the same color, energy, and fun as the festival itself. A distinct bright style that creates a consistent message throughout the event materials.
