The project's objective was to create a series of six posters for the ArtCenter Summer 2021 Design Speaker Series. One poster represents the series as a whole, and five other posters reflect the five guest speakers who spoke at the event.

Jo and Alan split the design process in two. Jo created five freeform, dynamic, and unique collages that represented each guest speaker, while Alan created a tight grid and typography system with symbolic background iconography that tied the posters together as a series.

By splitting the design process in two, Jo and Alan were not only able to maximize their creative talents but also, once combined, brought the posters to a new level (creating a balance between freeform and systematic design).

Our department chair, Sean Adams, loved every poster and all the detail we put in. The posters were well received by students, faculty, and guest speakers alike.

Immediately after completion, the posters were displayed at the ArtCenter South Campus Gallery.
