Each student selects a film of his/her choice to create a unique and appropriate title sequence.This assignment focuses on composition, typographic hierarchy, pacing and time and sequence of type and image.

The problem of the assignment was to provide a title sequence to a preexisting movie, in which case I chose “The Wave”. In approaching the assignment, I combined liquid typography and sound to create visually interesting textures across the screen. When placing the colored liquid typography on a clear pan on top of a speaker, it causes the liquid to vibrate and distort. This becomes a foreshadow of how the physical wave caused chaos in the original movie.

The result was a title sequence which was visually interesting and combined a use of texture and sound to convey the message.
