Create an exhibition poster for the alumni of Queens Council on the Arts' social program, High School to Art School (HS2AS), that provides free portfolio building programs for low income High School students in NYC to prepare them to get into the top art schools in the country. The exhibition is meant to highlight the "next steps" that HS2AS students took with their careers after the program.
The exhibition was held at the Experimental Space in Reis Studios in Long Island City.
Our creative director is an alumni himself and took the time to develop custom display typography with staggered "steps" in the letterforms to represent graduating from the program to supplement the "next steps" theme.
What started out as a poster quickly became reformatted into the exhibition branding itself including variations on the custom letterforms to create takeaways, stickers, postcards, and more.
