Design a cover for award-winning historian Saul David's riveting narrative of the heroic US troops, bonded by the brotherhood and sacrifice of war, who overcame enormous casualties to pull off the toughest invasion of WWII's Pacific Theater -- and the Japanese forces who fought with tragic desperation to stop them.
After reviewing hundreds of images we zeroed in on this lone soldier storming into battle as all hell is breaking lose around him. The title was placed partially behind him to still make him the hero even though the type is huge. A little distress and grit was added for drama, as well as colorizing the background slightly to hint at blood in certain areas.
Book has received great advance reviews, including from The Times (UK).
