In October 2014, KNOCK moved into its newly expanded Minneapolis headquarters. The modern, open, collaborative space became the impetus for a rebrand of the 13-year-old creative agency. At the core of the initiative was new brand language, "think with invention, make with intention," that informs everything the agency stands for—not the least an identity system that would live in all of the critical brand touchpoints.
Leading the rebrand was a modification of the existing KNOCK logotype as well as the creation of a proprietary font family. An illustrated "KNOCK" icon became a secondary element; a symbolic open invitation that inspires "what's next." Executional highlights include a palette of cool greys, hits of brass, and engraved printing. Dimensional pop-up business cards double as stand-alone name plates and are laced with personalized line illustrations on the insides of the folds. A new template system adheres to strong consistency standards, be it stationery, case studies, request for proposals or emails. Specialty premiums included journal books, pencils and glassware which were introduced at a grand opening celebration for clients, partners, employees and community guests.
Collectively, the rebrand supports KNOCK's modern, forward-thinking approach to strategy and design.
