William F. Mangels: Amusing the Masses on Coney Island and Beyond, is an exhibition about the wildly fun amusement park rides and games of the 1900s, and the Brooklyn genius who designed them. The Archigrafika team worked with Green-Wood to plan the exhibit, create the brand and establish a look and feel that would convey the feeling of a Coney Island memory.
Archigrafika created an exhibition that focuses on the rides and objects in Green-Wood’s collection. The exhbiition was organized into multiple sections to tell the story of Mangels and the rides he invented. Archigrafika used a fun and bright color palette based on the vernacular of the old-time Coney Island rides, and painted signage.
Archigrafika and Green-Wood created an engaging and interdisciplinary environment reminiscent of the Coney Island of years past.
