To design the identity for TEHDI (Texas Early Hearing Detection and Intervention), which is a program to ensure young children who have hearing loss are identified early and provided appropriate intervention services needed to prevent delays in communication and cognitive skill development.
The prominent use of the acronym and its pronunciation was a focal point for the design of the identity—an approachable icon of a smiling teddy bear with sound waves for ears.
The identity has been very well received by all of the staff and their patients, with many responding that it is a good representation for the program and the way that the staff are able to handle serious situations with children in a friendly and helpful manner.
