Mechanical Integration and Mechismo Series

OCTOPUS mechismo is part of a series by Michael Pantuso which is dedicated to the art of design and self-promotion of the designer. The Mechanical Integration and Mechismo Series blends subjects from nature with the integration of mechanical and fabricated elements. The intricate details and inner-workings of these elements are expressed through a process of division, reconstruction and Michael’s meticulous handling of shapes, colors and graphic patterning. The result becomes a multi-layered space. A visual interplay which blurs the boundaries of precision, creating an echo and vibration that lifts the image from it's two dimensional surface.

The works are created, produced and exhibited digitally and as fine art prints.
Michael Pantuso lives and works in Chicago and New York City.

OCTOPUS mechismo was recently exhibited at Art New York (Presented By Art Miami) on May 3-8, 2016 and will be exhibited at Art Southhampton on July 7-11, 2016.
