This project aimed to redesign a logo for the Flute Center of New York.
The design process began with research of the brand's history and what it had to offer as a company. I wanted to incorporate a flute into the trademark but keep it simple. I chose to use the colors silver and gold based on the silver and gold flutes, and I also used red as symbolism for the “big apple”.
The project successfully uses simple shapes to make up the keys of a flute. The choice of using the musical typeface for the "F" in "of" creates a classical signature.
