The assignment was to design a relevant introduction and title sequence to the movie of your choice. Must contain title of the movie, director, and main characters featured in the film.

I have always loved the movie Hugo since it came out, and wanted to create a simplistic title sequence to the movie. Through my research, I found some of the most simplistic in design yet straightforward to be some of the most successful. I decided to take the idea of the clock and it's functionality, and play off of it in an old- style stop motion way to also play tribute to the Georges Melies film style represented in the movie. 

I created the sequence though the process of scanning in images of old and very elegant clocks from the past. I cut and manipulated the images to create a stop motion style sequence inline with the movement of the clock and the ticking noise it creates.
