Each year I design a valentine poster that I send out to clients.

I first cut out of ApplePly® a heart shape, then stained it with red pigment mixed with linseed oil, then glued on an assortment of found costume jewelry, a tip of the hat to the Seventies craft-fad thrift shop Christmas Trees. Once I had the heart completed, after I gave it to my wife for Valentine's Day, I photographed it and drew it in Freehand, creating a 2-dimensional Valentine, that could be mailed.

Reaction was swiftest of any Valentine posters I've done--clients loved it.
