While Better Together Bake Shop achieved success in baking great brownies, their initial launch packaging wasn’t reflective of the high quality product inside. Chase was enlisted to re-design their brand so that it mirrored the caliber of their brownies and to provide the tools needed to attain broader distribution. The scope of the project included everything from logo re-design to in-store materials.
Because Better Together brownies have such unique flavor combinations, hand-drawn patterns and illustrations were crafted to highlight their key ingredients. Flavor-specific color palettes on the display boxes were used to create visual impact, while a consistent layout built a strong brand block at shelf.
Typographic and graphic elements were specifically designed to balance classic bakery cues with contemporary style. As a final touch, the “Heartpersand” icon was created to reinforce the love baked into every brownie, and serves as a reminder that some things are simply better together.
Initial response to the brand re-design has been overwhelmingly positive and has generated new buyer and consumer interest in the brand.
