This project was a re-design of Grading Wiz's logo, a company that makes grading rubric checklists for teachers. The goal of the new logo was to create a smart design that reflects the brand's primary products, as well as take up less space when printed in small sizes.

A pencil/wizard mashup was created to make this logo both practical (space-saving), and fun; allowing the design to both resinate with its target audience, while adding a bit of humor. The pencil and its marking makes reference to the act of grading, while also visually creating the bottom half of the wizard.

The newly-designed logo exceeded client expectations, and helped this small brand stand out in the education market. The design has worked successfully on printed media, merchandise, and online.
