This year, Hyundai became the official automotive sponsor of the NFL and their goal was clear – “own the Super Bowl.”
Our spot, First Date, was positioned to figuratively and literally kick off the game. It was uniquely located in the 60-second isopod between the coin toss and the kick off. This placement was designed to capitalize on a captive audience. We not only set out to dominate the automotive category but rank as the best spot of the game.
The concept explores a very simple human truth—dads will go to all sorts of lengths to protect their daughters. We took this idea to a new level, Super Bowl level, by casting a very humorous and entertaining celebrity, Kevin Hart, as dad. And with the help of the Car Finder remote tracking function on the Hyundai Genesis, we got to see just how far this concerned dad would go.
