The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation wanted us to create a 30-second television commercial (PSA) that would promote their Fashion Funds The Cure event and overall mission of funding collaborative research nationwide to fast track a cure.
We wanted to create a very dramatic PSA that would show a child’s brave fight against cancer and how truly beautiful their courage is. To accomplish this, we used a real kid (not actor) who was actually undergoing chemotherapy treatments during the filming of the commercial. The spot has compelling twist at the end, as the girl removes her wig and bravely walks onto the stage at a Fashion Funds The Cure event. Additionally, we wanted to convey how the NPCF is collaborating with hospitals across the nation to fast track less-toxic, more targeted treatments that are saving many lives.
This heartfelt spot was very well-received by the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s marketing team. They are using it to promote Fashion Funds The Cure events, which they host all over the country, and also to gain more support and donations to help kids who are battling cancer.
