Create a wordmark that represents a new bar and restaurant in Central PA that is both stylish, upscale and contemporary—yet friendly, humble, and evocative of its country, small-town roots and locally-sourced, farm-to-table menu.

I designed this mark by creating custom type, with strong verticals to evoke the surrounding pine trees, and referenced stenciled letterforms used in antique farm signs to elicit a country feel. The letterforms down-to-earth, yet clean and subtly sophisticated, alluding to the simple, local gourmet fare.

The client was thrilled with the results and the mark has begun to grace menus, signage, custom bar tops, packaging and more.
