In this project, we attempted to capture repressed women’s anger by contrasting conventional composition with expressive type. The title is tense; by highlighting the binaries between beauty and disgust, the type develops feminine traits and fluidity while concurrently exemplifying the repressed rage of the feminine psyche through distorted letters, symbols such as thorns, and bold, primal, red and black colors.
The image of the sun trapped in the net represents the struggles and glory of female souls suppressed by societal pressure.
