The creation of a brand identity for a new Italian restaurant called Bar Machiavelli to work seamlessly with the interior concept and unique offering in the market.
At the core of the idea for the identity is the name and its meaning - for Machiavellian is principally about duplicity and duality. Central in the restaurant is an enormous wall mural of a male and female head to set the scene, along with a rich palette of dark purple wall and red leather banquettes from which the brand palette derives.
The logotype has a split personality - san serif and elaborate serif split - much like the elements and idea for the space and offering. It is traditional and unique, powerful and playful, grand and authentic, contemporary and sexy, sophisticated and fun loving.
The restaurant is newly launched and a wonderful success. The identity has set the restauranteurs apart from other Italian offerings in the market with its distinctive style, dramatic space and incredible food.
