Research is essential for any successful design, and this package design began with extensive research on the coconut. After I gained an adequate understanding of the origins of the fruit, its bi-products, and its properties, I began to design the coconut brand Palm. Palm features all of the best aspects of the coconut's home, the tropics. Vivid colors, expressive typography, and whimsical illustrations were combined to allow consumers to feel as though they were being immersed in a tropical client as they picked the product off of store shelves. To create a cohesive brand, each of the coconut bi-products was given its color scheme and illustrative pattern, which are combined in the coconut shreds.
