The assignment was to create a box that was both interesting conceptually and appealing visually. Typography was an important element of this project. The assignment included creating a box with four inside elements. I was asked to design each element, physically print and construct everything, and then photograph the final result.
I selected two typefaces that paired nicely and successfully worked to establish visual hierarchy. I also created texture with background colors and typography to increase visual interest. I printed the final deliverables and hand-crafted the box myself, and I photographed the final product in the studio.
The final result was a visually compelling and conceptually interesting box for all Shark Week fanatics.
