The design is inspired by the architecture of the Gogue Performing Arts Center and the style of cable hanging system of the exhibition. The selected pieces of student work suspend on the cables in rows like the cables featured in the poster design.
The creative process involved developing shapes that vaguely resemble letterforms and unique projects like the ones featured in the show. However, the poster isn't just a print piece. It was also designed to be interactive experience and therefore a complimentary animation pairs with the printed poster. The animation is a video linked to the poster through an augmented reality app called Artivive. Directions for viewing the animation are listed along the edge of the printed poster.
