The challenge was to design an exhibition about approximately 5,000 soldiers buried at Green-Wood, telling their personal stories through letters and archived objects. We had to work with existing structures that the client had from past exhibitions.
Twenty main soldiers were selected to feature in the exhibition individual attention given to all. The rest were featured in an exhibition book. We designed vinyl graphic panels for existing freestanding wall structures and display for objects such as swords, framed carte de vistes, and even a small vile of soil.
The exhibition was one of Green-Wood's most successful themed exhibition to date. It was covered by local NYC television and ran for 7 weeks.
