A successful restaurateur nurturing a concept to bring fresh, healthy food at an affordable price to The Woodlands, TX wanted to create a high energy brand that millennials could connect with and love. Inspiration came from the culinary adventures the owner experienced on his travels, combined with his beloved Donkey on his ranch.
Test Monki created the donkey character, “Don Kee Huti” (pronounced ”Donkey Huti”. It’s a play on Don Quixote). Traveling highlands, lowlands, and all places in between, Don Kee Huti serves as the inspiration for the South American inspired cuisine. He guides you through your journey at the restaurant and teaches you “How to Huti”, creating the most ridonkulous culinary experience. We wanted a very tribal feel for the donkey head. The three marks on his ears represent grill marks and his “hair” if the flame from the grill. The colors goldenrod and brown were used to represent the wood-burning fire and the warmth of the brand.
