To create an experimental poster using plastic typography as the primary visual element. The focus is on creating a work that embraces experimental practice and visually represents the energy of the chosen aphorism.
With this particular experimental approach, I didn't have any expectations for how I wanted it to look in the end, I was just hoping to create something that could be easily manipulated and enhance the aphoristic language. By working with the aphorism as a whole I felt that I could push more boundaries with legibility.
The poster is used to as the primary canvas to examine Elliots Earls proposed five defining elements of 1990's Experimental Graphic Design and their relevance in 2018.
