Of The Flesh is a sex-forward publication that champions inclusivity and awareness—featuring interviews, personal exposés, and advocacy. We were approached to help define a brand unlike others within the space. The goal was to find the balance of edgy yet refined — making the brand more sophisticated and approachable while still embodying what makes this community so unique.
Our approach: Sophistication, with a pinch of smut. We looked to classic mastheads to inform our logotype—a modified version of the elegant typeface Apoc that feels at once beautiful yet dangerous. The brand kit includes a seal representative of the bond (and binding) inherent within the community, tied together with an array of patterns and image windowing nodding to dungeon archways.
Launching with a new online publication, swag, and print collateral — Of The Flesh has been positioned to create an elevated and inclusive space for the BDSM communities, unlike any others in the space.
