Finding Nature: Everhart Park Adventure is an expansive, fully functional app prototype. The app provides a unique way to explore the outdoors, appreciate the natural environment, and galvanize the imagination. Finding Nature is designed to enhance the outdoor experience rather than distract from it. With help from the university’s geography department, Finding Nature was able to take advantage of a preexisting map that visitors could interact with to explore the park and the different sections of the app.
The map, and app in general, are meant to encourage taking a moment to appreciate the natural environment which can be highly beneficial to social, environmental, economic, and physical well-being.
