This series unifies three powerful social movements in history, Black Lives Matter, Mothers of De Plazo, and Chibok’s Bring Back our Girls, focusing more specifically on the courageous acts the protesters endeavored to bring reformation to their governing structures and societies. The expressive hand forms emphasized on each poster represent each society’s fight for change. To create an additional layer of depth, the social movement titles and the numbers representing the individuals lost during the movements are sliced, layered, and warped to speak for the deprivation of the broken families and communities. However, the hands remain the focus of the posters to emphasize that the protesting people, when they come together, overcome their hardships, to create reformation for generations yet to come.
