Created under the inspiration of houses dedicated to collective improvisation and experimentation, the Quintavant seeks to create a diversified lineup, showcasing national and foreign artists, often linked to the more experimental aspects of jazz, punk, rock, electronic music and collective improvisation.
The posters are designed collaboratively, based on the "do it yourself" motto and try to reflect and help form the image of a new generation of Brazilian artists in tune with the concept of the event. There is no predefined system, but some processes and rules were defined during the two years the posters were designed, like the use of a common typeface and grid system.
Given this creative freedom, the result emphasizes formal experimentalism, without ignoring functional aspects of visual communication such as readability, even when in its boundaries. Some of the posters were selected for exhibitions in Brazil, China, Italy, Japan, Russia, Scotland and Slovakia.
