Accidentally Extraordinary designs their headphones to seamlessly merge form and function through simple, clean and functional design. We tried to follow suit with the new logo design.
Approach
We used subtle nods to audio (play for “A" and equalizer for “E") to create the letterforms in the word mark and custom typography to spell it out. We felt the sense of discovery and transformation built into the mark played nicely with the idea of being “accidentally extraordinary”.
Results
The client fell madly in love with the logo and immediately shifted all production to start carving the new logo mark into the wooden side of the headphones. It was also used as inspiration for the form and shape of the updated AE packaging.
