To create an inspirational design resource and manifesto primary aimed at design professional and students. The challenge was showcasing and creating a coherent structure and layout/design system for over 60 ground breaking, diverse and unique projects in many differing sectors — all with one common goal/theme — to make the world a better place for all.

Improving lives is no longer the role only of governments and experts: enabled by the latest technologies, anyone can help to design and create products for the social and environmental good. Part manual, part manifesto, part call-to-arms, Futurekind presents more than 60 world-changing projects that, through a process of collaboration between communities and designers, are shaping a better future for us all.

We have grown accustomed to two beliefs: the first, that only experts can be designers; the second, that our everyday activities are harming the natural world. Yet, with new platforms, digital communication and engaged online communities, the products we can now design – and truly need – can be made by anyone for social and environmental good. Enabling us to re-make our world right now.

Structured into eight areas of application/chapters, from healthcare to education, this book showcases over 60 projects – The chapters were divided up with guiding illustrations to denote each project and to unify. Manual-esque and tech-focused type balanced with human-centric photography and colours. The cover was designed in such a way to show the richness and diversity showcased in the book.
