To achieve the final photograph, I first researched to get inspiration from other still life photogrsphers. I was immediately drawn to the crisp photographs I had found of fruit and decided to use it as my subject matter. To create a more visually interesting photograph, I added glass vases of various sizes around the fruit to manipualte its appearance. After photographing numerous different types of fruits with various size vases, I found that the composition was the most aesthetically pleasing was the combination of two pieces of Kiwi and a singular tall vase. Since there are so few elements in the photograph, the negative space gives the elements room to breathe and further highlights them. After choosing the photograph that looked the best, I brought it into both Bridge and Photoshop to enhance the colors and remove imperfections.
