The Project's intent was to draw attention to particular research events held at the university, especially for design academics. The events would proffer advice on how to navigate academic research in the fields of design: communication, spatial, industrial, history and theory.
Approach
Imagery was sourced from various archives and repositories to reflect the provenance of research within an established Australian University. The images would also reference in direct or subtle ways particular themes being discussed and experienced. during the research events
Results
The result was a series of posters made cohesive through recurring but adaptive typography, and a thematic imagery style. Attendance at the events were markedly improved once the posters began to announce them. The posters were produced in limited edition prints, making them coveted and collectable artefacts among the university's research community.
