The Senior Capstone Project is a semester long self-authored project. The result requires exploration, discovery, brainstorming, inquiry, context, content and application in regard to a question that interests each student—something that the student wants to explore, investigate and attempt to answer using design.

Problem Statement: While tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality has increased considerably, false impressions of homosexuals and their culture still exist. As a result, the younger gay community lacks accurate representation to learn from, and thus struggles to find their place in modern gay culture.

Design Process:
• Topic exploration using design thinking methods to understand the subject matter.
• Interviews, competitive analysis of existing solutions, user testimonials, surveys and visual research.
• Iterative designs based on continued critiques from professors and peers.
• Consultation with gay artists and photographers to support the content and mission of the design solution.

Design Solution: "Versa" is a bi-annual publication and community-driven web site that curates the experiences and opinions of gay culture around the world. Versa carefully reflects the everyday lives of modern gay men, in an authentic and universal manner.
