J.Hilburn, a leader in luxury custom-fitted menswear, approached CRP to brand their direct-selling Stylist division. With a strong grasp on its consumer-facing brand, the company challenged CRP to craft a world-class brand for its sales division that complemented the luxurious, professional qualities for which J.Hilburn is known.
In order to fully understand the driving nature behind the JHStylist brand, CRP conducted a half-day workshop with J.Hilburn’s founder and key stakeholders in the Stylist brand. In order to tap into the driving force behind the brand, we surveyed the team on the perceived culture and brand attributes, and challenged them to envision ideal success-drivers. In doing so, we identified the current sales team’s needs and wants, as well as those of future recruits – information that was essential for developing a relevant and purposeful identity for the JHStylist brand.
CRP helped J.Hilburn achieve their goal of attracting fashion influencers and entrepreneurial-minded individuals by creating a unique logo for JHStylist that is equal parts classic and modern. The classic typeface rests at an angle, signifying the division’s innovative approach to the direct sales industry. The Y in the wordmark features a seamstress needle, which serves to symbolize the Stylists’ tailored service and attention to detail. The primary color scheme of gold, black, and cream denote a sense of sophistication and timeless style. The outcome is proud banner for the brand that encompasses the parent brand’s timelessness, while inciting a sense of intrigue and exclusivity for future partners of the JHStylist team.
