Lucky Seven Spirits approached Flowdesign with just a name and a vision for their new bourbon brand. The name Lucky Seven is derived from the infamous Stage 7 on the Warner Brothers lot where some of the greatest movies in cinema, such as Casablanca and My Fair Lady, were filmed. The warehouse-sized stage produced so many award-winning films that the industry started calling it “Lucky Stage 7.”
A custom logo was placed prominently on the front using 24-carat gold hot-stamping and a cream color screen print ensures it will stand out on shelf. The harlequin pattern decoration on the back of the bottle and around the neck was inspired by 1930-50’s era glassware patterns. The custom wood closure is topped with the Lucky Seven logo and the harlequin pattern appears again on the natural cork. Finally, each limited release bourbon’s front labels were designed to mimic a retro-style movie ticket stub. These unique labels feature a label system that, when peeled back, reveals information about each particular bourbon and its corresponding short film, as well as a QR code that takes you online to view the short film.
