I was commissioned to design a poster for the historic German opera, 'The Ring of the Nebelung' directed by Francesca Zambello for The San Francisco Opera.

My approach was to create drama - operatic drama - graphically. I portrayed the mythic main character, Wotan, with his famous and powerful spear.

Ms. Zambello, the esteemed director, was very happy with the results and thoroughly enjoyed the process - as did I.
