Ideas that are thoughtful and authentic are what Roger lives for. Establishing his own design practice in Melbourne, Australia over 20 years ago, Roger has created compelling brand solutions for corporate and public sector clients as well as helping to establish many new not-for-profit brands. Graduating with a Distinction in Graphic Design from La Trobe University, he has worked for over 30 years as a Designer and Art Director. His work has won platinum, gold and silver awards in Graphis Logo 9, Graphis Design 2014, Graphis Design 2017 and Graphis Advertising 2023 and has been featured in Graphis Typography 3. He was also on the judging panel for Graphis Design 2024. Roger is a Professional Member of the Australian Graphic Design Association.
Philosophy on Work
To produce only great work – and to work only with great people – are always my objectives and I find that the two go hand-in-hand. I am also a strong believer in the potential present in every individual and the contribution that they can make to the world no matter their background or sphere of influence. I want the designs that I produce to be distinctive and timeless. I’m not interested in making things that just look pretty. I always try to avoid clichés in my work and there also needs to be a strong idea behind the design. To have a truly successful outcome to a design project I believe that you need to find a designer who’s work you admire and who you believe you can work with – and then trust them! By trusting them I have found that you will get the best results.
