Graphis ArchivesDouglas D. May has been a design communication professional for four decades. Educated at the University of North Texas and Art Center College of Design, he began his career in New York where he trained under several prominent designers and art directors. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas A&M Commerce in 2017 and now teaches full-time at The University of North Texas. He founded the Dallas-based design firm May & Co. in 1986 and continues to consult with corporations, entrepreneurs, and non-profits by providing design communication to support strategic initiatives. In 2011, Doug was honored as an AIGA Fellow for his professional contribution to the design community. He has judged professional and student competitions across the U.S. and in Mexico.
