My husband and I started our company on the fast track in April 2016. We needed a logo to identify our business and look professional while keeping the avenues open for other entrepreneurial ventures outside the graphic design arena. We wanted something bold, yet approachable, memorable and long lasting. We have a classic aesthetic but with a modern viewpoint so the logo mark had to satisfy all these criteria along with the need to be identifiable at many sizes from a small favicon to as large as a billboard.
I began with a local themed logo since we live in the California wine country, but everything I created looked like we were running a winery. Being straight forward was the goal and using the initials of the company made sense to be true to that goal. The D'Eliseo & Company name is easily shortened to D'Eliseo & Co . Considering our last name may be challenging to say for some people, shortening the name even further to D&Co had a nice ring to it and one that clients will easily and willingly remember.
I've been able to apply the logo mark easily in many ways. You'll see in the samples provided that the business card, letterhead and social media all show the D&Co logo prominently and boldly without difficulty or legibility issues. We've had a good response to the mark and look forward to promoting it even more once our website is up and running.
