The assignment was to create a creative and original campaign for Maaco using diverse media.
This campaign is centered around the concept of the "before and after," from damaged to fixed, that consumers experience when getting their car repaired at Maaco.
Results include two billboards and two outdoor guerilla ads including an automatic sliding door concept and an original interactive "Guerilla Wallscape." Each billboard shows prop Maaco workers in the process of transforming a wrecked vehicle, showcasing the tagline "Wrecked to Ready"Each guerilla ad is interactive with passing consumers. The sliding door makes the vehicle decal appear damaged whenever the automatic doors open, but show the vehicle "fixed" whenever it closes together with the Maaco Logo. The hand made "guerilla wallscape" invites passers by to take a hanging flyer from the large wallscape. As people take these coupon flyers off of the wallscape, they remove the "damage" from the car and reveal the underlying fixed, undamaged vehicle. This not only showcases how Maaco can fix your car, but gives consumers an incentive to choose Maaco next time they need service.
