In Hank Richardson's Design History class, our assignment was to design a chair by pulling inspiration from an art movement and a personal story.
My chair is inspired by the freedom of expressionism, and by my journey to healing after my father lost his battle with cancer in August 2016. After hundreds of sketches and hours of looking through design books, I was able to create a chair that is comforting and uplifting.
The chair is meant to be curled up in and make even the most hopeless cynic have a little bit of hope and light in their heart.
