The assignment was to create a fictional business or service for our choosing. We were then instructed to make a Design Brief that outlined our business, the target market, and location.
The approach taken was to mix the old and new with this logo while still remaining direct. The name of the business is Dine One One, which is a play on words of nine-one-one. With that in mind the motion of calling in a "Food Emergency" could not be conveyed with reference to modern technology. So to create that idea, the use of a rotary dial telephone was use but with a fork in place of the phone. Additionally, the typography used was a modification of Copperplate, as well as the use of Arial Black to enhance the notion of combining old and new.
Overall, this logo is successful because of how the simple the message of a food delivery service is conveyed.
